A new school year, a new start at blogging.

I spent the summer in California. It may be the last time that I can just laze around for a while, enjoying hanging out with my friends and family. My ambitions for the vacation quickly gave way to inertia and inactivity, but that's all right.

I'm back in Boston. It's pretty lonely out here. I didn't have much of a chance to make a lot of friends my first semester, at least, not ones that I would see outside of class, and it's a pretty stark contrast to life back West. Hopefully it'll get better as the year goes on. We'll see.

I've continued my streak of seeing weather the day after my red-eye out of LA (this time a thunderstorm, last time a snowstorm), which helps mark the divide from weatherless SoCal. This pleases me thematically. Though I might prefer dry socks.
